The practice of medicine has become more of a bureaucratic challenge and less personal or intimate. Despite my lack of control in those areas, I strive to maintain the REAL SIDE OF MEDICINE, the human side, the touch, the smile, the tear, the heart, the love. These are the reasons for which I am a physician. Even with the changes that have pushed us away from the true art of medicine, I always seek new opportunities to practice medicine the way it ought to be. Every patient for me is a small opportunity to touch their life and impact them for eternity. |
